Q1: Do your white coffee filters contain dioxins?
Official answer: Absolutely no chlorine. Our white coffee filters are bleached using internationally leading ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) or TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) bleaching processes.
- Scientific Principle: Dioxins are formed when traditional processes use elemental chlorine gas ($Cl₂) to react with lignin in pulp. Modern ECF processes use chlorine dioxide ($ClO₂), which has a completely different chemical oxidation pathway, eliminating the formation of dioxins at its source.
- Test Results: Tests conducted by authoritative third-party institutions (such as SGS/TUV) showed that the residue levels of dioxins and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) were both ND (not detected), far exceeding international food contact standards.
Q2: Will chemical substances be released when boiling at high temperatures of 90°C-100°C?
Official answer: No. Our filter paper is designed for high-temperature extraction environments and has passed rigorous “high-temperature migration tests”.
- High-Temperature Stability Test: In a simulated laboratory environment, the filter paper was continuously immersed in 95°C constant-temperature hot water for 30 minutes. Experimental data showed that its potassium permanganate consumption (an indicator of organic matter migration) and heavy metal leaching remained within extremely low ranges, far exceeding the EU AP(2002)1 and Chinese GB 4806.8 food safety standards.
- Physical Pressing Technology: The filter paper edges are sealed using 100% mechanical pressure pressing, without the use of any chemical adhesives or glues. Therefore, no odor or chemical volatiles are produced when rinsed with hot water.
Q3: Why choose white filter paper instead of uncolored filter paper?
Official response: White filter paper not only meets the highest safety standards, but also has advantages in sensory performance:
Pure Flavor: The deeply purified white filter paper has extremely low lignin residue and almost no “paper taste,” allowing for direct brewing without the need for large amounts of pre-pouring hot water, thus maximizing the preservation of the regional flavor of specialty coffee.
Visual Advantage: The white background helps baristas more clearly observe the dynamics of the liquid surface and the distribution of fine coffee grounds, enabling precise extraction control.
